Welcome to Hearts and Stars Forever
Started by Martin Minch and Claire Joyce in the basement of their home
in a small hamlet in Columbia County in upstate New York.
Marty, an award winning Art Director and Graphic Designer and his partner Claire,
an accomplished folk artist in various media, created Folk Art Mirrors with hearts and stars.
These mirrors were sold in museums all over the world.
As they perfected their Eight Step Aging Process, they began building some of
the best painted antique reproduction furniture in the country.
Today, Marty and Claire handcraft Custom Furniture, Kitchen and Bathroom Cabinets,
for Homes and B & B Inns, as well as the complete interiors for Restaurants, Taverns and Bars.

ABOUT OUR FURNITURE
Each hand made piece of Furniture, Farm Tables, and Complete Room Settings which include Kitchens,
Bathrooms, and Libraries are individually crafted using antique recycled wood and hardware.
Antique wood planes are used to prepare and shape the wood,
giving it that realistic aged, look and feel.
Old world mortise and tenon joinery including the use of wood pegs and square nails
are used in the final building and assembly process.
The final finish is done with old fashioned milk paint which is then aged
using our unique eight step aging process resulting in a precisely completed piece that looks like,
feels like, and could be confused with an antique from the 1700 - 1800 time period.
Our furniture goes equally well in contemporary, traditional, or period homes.
Commercial Restaurants Bars and Taverns are some other projects that we have recently completed.
We work equally well with individual home owners, architects, designers and decorators.
